I am having trouble opening a database, this is the error that I am getting.

***********************Error***********************
The Current User account doesn't have permission to convert or enable this database

To convert or enable this database, ensure the following:
*You must join the work group that defines the user accounts used to access the database
*You user account must have Open/Run and Open Exclusive permissions for the database object.
*Your Uer account must have Modify Design or Administrator permissions for all tables in the database
*Your user account must have Read Design permission for all objects in the database.
*Request that other users cose the database.

***********************End Error*************************

I set all the security options in the File/Properties/Security to full control for everyone

Is there a way around this? How do I join the work group, How do I crack this?

Thanks

To join the workgroup, use the wrkgadm.exe utility located in your windows system folder. You need to have the correct .mdw file for the workgroup and know a username and password. Additionally, you need to have the correct permissions. The database in question is probably from an earlier version of Access than what is on your machine, so Access trying to convert it.

I dont know the Work Group or have a .mdw file, User Name or Password for this database. Is there any way to import it to MSSQL SERVER to circumvent this?

Ok I have Joined the Work Group, now I need to get the administrative password, any ideas?

The default is usually Admin with no password. If you can, get the password from the original programmer. I believe there is a way to crack the password using some VBA code, but I haven't done it myself, so I really can't speak to it intelligently.
