Hunt group unique ring

Guys, I've setup our customer service department in a hunt group and they are requesting that all calls that come to that hunt group have a unique ring. Is that possible?

If not, is it possible to have the hunt group line ring on another line. We are setup with lines a, b, c. All calls are answered on line a and then b if a is tied up. Could we make it so the hunt group rings on line c?

all calls will be presented to line a 1st then b if a is busy, I do not believe you can have a unique ring when calling the hunt group

I would make it so the option for the hunt group rings on line "c" and then I would change the ring on line "c" to something unique (note- this will not be a hunt group, instead the option "3" in the AA for instance would call line "c" and you would have to take that line off of all extensions not in your customer service department). If you need to have this line for the other employees I would have the hunt group ring an external ringer allowing the customer service people to know that particular call is from the hunt group.

what version IPO? in R9 you can change the ring.

Technically that is not possible, a hunt group has to ring to an extension, So what I suggest is have option "3" for instance, in your auto-attendant call line "c" and take that line off everyone's extension that is not in your customer service department. If you need to have this line on all extensions then I would go with an external ringer. you could, i guess, leave line "c" on everyone's extension and make only the customer service extensions ring when a call comes into line "c". Everyone else not in the customer service department would have line 3 appear only.

Does that all make sense?

That means you have R8.1, you would need R9 or above to utilize Kevin's post.
 
The only way to make to go to line c would be with line appearances I am not sure he is set up that way, are they call appearances or line appearances?

Best to use a group button, it will flash so they know that's where the call is ringing and they can press to answer it :)
