I have set up an hunt group but was wondering if the call goes to the first person on the list but it is not answered, is there a way so the call will then go to the next person on the list after 6 rings.
Command RFD will give you the options of forward on busy, forward on no reply, internal and external calls.
Busy does not count as it will hunt to the next extn.
This must be on all members.
It is best policy to have the members take them selves out of the hunt group by setting a DND (do not disturb), the problem then is getting them to take it off in the morning....
Without using the RFD command to setup a forward divert there is no other way of forwarding the call to the next extension due to the way a hunt group works.
If the voice mail has been set up correctly with the hunt group number been in ether sys parmaeters SPIDG (remote VM)
SPILE (local VM). Going to voice mail is then controlled by the command RIVU xxxx (xtn) and listed by LIVU xxxx.
This automatically tells the system the extn is a voice mail user and forwards after 6 rings (progamable).
