Hunt group - no answer

Hi,

I have set up an hunt group but was wondering if the call goes to the first person on the list but it is not answered, is there a way so the call will then go to the next person on the list after 6 rings.

Command RFD will give you the options of forward on busy, forward on no reply, internal and external calls.
Busy does not count as it will hunt to the next extn.

This must be on all members.

It is best policy to have the members take them selves out of the hunt group by setting a DND (do not disturb), the problem then is getting them to take it off in the morning....

It gets complicated as we do not want to use the RFD command on extn 1234, the call has to be answered.

Hunt group number 1234

Members in the Hunt group

1 9876
2 5432
3 7654

When the call comes to 1234 it goes to 9876, but if it is not answered after 6 rings how can I tell the system to go to the next number on the list.

Is it possible ?

Hi Rolead. Happymal was correct.

rfd 9876 to 5432

rfd 5432 to 7654

after half a minute or so of ringing the caller will have hung up. why ring an empty desk?

Use DND . and the call will step to the free hunt group members,if no one is there and they will get busy.

Without using the RFD command to setup a forward divert there is no other way of forwarding the call to the next extension due to the way a hunt group works.
 
Why not use an ACD queue or a ring group?

Biglebowskis Razor - with all things being equal if you still can't find the answer have a shave and go down the pub.
 
The individual extensions has RFD already going to voicemail so I cannot add another one.

 
If the voice mail has been set up correctly with the hunt group number been in ether sys parmaeters SPIDG (remote VM)
SPILE (local VM). Going to voice mail is then controlled by the command RIVU xxxx (xtn) and listed by LIVU xxxx.

This automatically tells the system the extn is a voice mail user and forwards after 6 rings (progamable).
