how to view offline backup on Mitel 3300 MXe

Can anyone guide me how to view backup from a mitel 3300 please.

i have done a backup to me PC but is there anyway to view that backup offline or to view all the forms offline.

although you can open them up with winrar and a text editor they will show you nothing, just ascii characters, you may see the odd bit of info but nothing meaninful

You can export the forms in a .csv format, are you looking for anything specific? What is it you want to achieve?

It is a remote customers site. I want to see the configuration
From the backup.

About the only way I know is to restore it on to a spare controller and work from that.

i read is somewhere there is a way to capture all the forms via a hyper terminal session. i think i need to connect through the printer port.

has anyone tried this ? did it work..

sarond. that`s right. that`s where i read that. i have tried that but i cannot originate another hyper terminal session using IP. it is asking for the user name and the password. when i enter the details it will not allow me to login.
i this this solution will work if i can get another hyper terminal session open while the console cable is connected to the printer port.

I do a variation on this. I use PuTTy so I can connect the ip address and use Port 23. This gets me to the old VT100 terminal style interface from the SX2000 days. From there you can get to the command screen and to the formprint that you want to do. For example if I want all the Multiline Set Key Assignments I would enter:

fo mu s k as /instance all /port lpr3 (abbreviated but you can write the whole thing)
System reports: FORMPRINT:Request is in progress
I immediately issue command:
en p/non (enable print/non queued) Scrolling of the requested form now starts and PuTTy captures the result.

When the system reports Formprint Complete I do a 'Ctrl C' to go back to the command screen

PuTTy is configured as
Telnet
Session Logging = Printable output
Terminal - Auto wrap mode innitially on
Terminal - Local echo = auto
Terminal - Local line editing = auto
Terminal - Remote-controlled printing = none
Keyboard - backspace key = control-?
Keyboard - Function keys and keypad = VT100+

I have not tried it, because I'm an old fossil, but I bet you could connect with PuTTy(with logging turned on) on port 1754 and issue the commands from the web based application of the 3300

Followup: I tried the port 1754 route but I did not get any scrolling forms. I thing port 1754 is lpr1.
I did find this on the net and describes what I do with the only difference being I use PuTTy

Hi northportphoneguy,

I can print individual forms and I do it a similar way to yourself telneting into the controller.
I was trying to print all forms with a single command rather than performing each form print command individually.

Have you had any luck with printing all forms at once using "FO ALL /ALL /PORT LPR3" or similar?

I believe it is

fo form /all /port lpr3

Be prepared for a loooooong run. Like hours. You will get a lot of empty forms.

Update.
I correct myself. It is not fo form /port
I do remember doing what you want using ALL. However, I found this:

It seems that up to 4.0 the ALL form is there and has been changed to Maintenance Commands from 4.1 forward.

I don't think it can be done after 4.1
