Hi guys,

How do I upgrade MAS to the latest version?

Can I upgrade though ServiceLink? I don't see the link to upgrade as in the vMCD or MBG

I currently have Mitel Aplication Suite 4.0.31.0

Regards,

Daniel

This will sound like a lame answer but you need to read the release notes for the new load

I always do and the notes are very detailed on upgrades

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Service link upgrades are disabled from web interface.

Most mas versions now require a reboot from the new version of MSL cd, upgrade of MSL.

Then from admin login select to upgrade MAS to latest versions.

The ISo images for all the apps ( except for the Nupoint DVD's) can be copied to a usb key ( faster) or you can download them from the internet .

The Nupoint DVD's need to be burnt to DVD's.

kwb is correct its all in the release notes

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Guys, I forgot to mention this is a Virtual MAS. Information on Release notes is not too specific. However I have read I need to make a backup and a new install, then restore. What I don't like from this is that I will need to clear hardaware ID every time I upgrade...

Any comments?

Regards,

Daniel

from memory , i dont think you have to , the hardware id is also restored with the backup.

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

I have had to clear the hardware ID when doing a reinstall but I think on a restore to the same hardware you don't. Other then that think you have it. Backup and restore to new load.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

We built a new virtual machine, used the new .ova file and cleared the hardware ID on MOL, disabled the old one and did a restore from the backup of the old one. the whole process took forty minutes or so. If you have UCA the users will be asked to download the new client and thats pretty much all there was to it.
