Hi All,

I have two people who will share an office for a few weeks and we don't want to install a second line for them. I want to make two extensions ring on the same phone and have a different ring tone for each. They should also have separate voicemail boxes. We're running IPO V9, but it's on a V7 control unit. Is this possible?

On the Incomming call route enter a "Tag" for the DID/DDI number.

Only if you have R9 in the IPO and 1400/9500 phones you can upload a different ringtone for a huntgroup or a incomming call route.

Bas12334's solution will not give separate mailboxes

Create a group for each user & route the DDI's top the group
different ringtones is unfortunately not an option.

if the 2nd user is just moving into the office temporarily & already has an extn then follow me is also an option.

@IPguru, if he fwd the extension he will, but he heeds to add a Vxxx in the sourcenumbers. The customer can disable the fwd by hand when they dont need it anymore.

Follow me would work better than forward in this scenario, especially if VM ring back is enabled temporarily.
this can all be done from the handset without making any programming changes to the IPO (including re-routing group calls if needed)

Thanks, IPGuru; Follow Me was the best option for me.
