I have an old Avaya Partner plus system that I purchased from ebay. It uses analog lines only.

I figured out how to program extension numbers, and names as well as the buttons on the system.

Byt how do I program inbound routing, for example, how do I program it that I want it to ring an ring ext 10 4 times before going to an ivr. And then how would I program the IVR choices.

Or lets say I want it that after hours it goes straight to an IVR or to the secretaries voicemail box.

And when I program the IVR, how do I program an extension that it should go to if they do not choose any extension.

Thanks

First obtain your "IVR", which will be a Partner Mail or Partner Messaging, then post questions on how to program it.

To make an extension ring on incoming calls, look at "Centralized Telephone Programming" to set Immediate, Delayed, or No Ring on a per line/per extension basis.

I found online about going: intercom - 777 and the "0" "#" however I dont have the password and the default doesnt work. anyway to reset it?

Your functionality is limited by it being the PC Card voice mail.

The Dial-0/timeout option is to transfer to Ext. 10, and can't be changed.

You can have only ONE auto attendant message, but you can control the number of rings for Day and Night modes, from 0 to 6 rings.

You can answer with a single mailbox instead of an Auto attendant, and use a Do Not Disturb button at night to make it answer immediately.

You can choose either the AA or mailbox answering, but cannot use one mode for day and the other for night.

If the default password does not work, you need to contact the seller or pay an authorized Avaya Business Partner to get it reset.

Okay, I got the password, now how do I tell it that when someone calls in, it should ring extension 10 for 4 rings and then go to the IVR?

Thanks

Please download the docs for free, from support.avaya.com

Program the extension to ring through Centralized Telephone Programming. Program the rest of the extensions to NOT ring through the same procedure.

Point the lines to the Automated Attendant through #206-7-(Line Number)-1

Set the number of rings in #506-(1=Day/2=Night)-(Line Number)-(Number of rings from 0 to 6)
