HI,
Does anybody know of a good way to dump an AC table listing so it can be uploaded to another OPT switch with an empty AC table. I have created .WAS files in ProComm but it's very messy and quits part way through. I have well over ten thousand entries and can't stand the though of putting them in one at a time.

what are you calling an as table?,, i use script files to do almost all task of that size.. i do one unit while recording then capture the data to a .cap file.. i open the cap in excel and the .was in doc.. then in word use mail merge to put the two files together. i used this method to add 1800 users in voice mail with ext dn's and the correct class of services.. i didn't try to do the remote notify with the script but it's do-able

I'm not sure what you're asking about 'what table?' but I'm trying to print out my existing AC2 table and be able to upload it to a new switch that has an empty AC2 table.
I had made the below example to load all the 18XX NPA's but it was a mess to do. It would quit several times while loading (the script file was good) and I would have to then edit the file to continue the load. I really need now a way to print(capure) the data from LD 90/NET/AC2/NPA to a file -this I can do, and be able to convert the data to a file that I can upload to the new switch. I don't understand you're 'Mail merge with a .CAP and .WAS' you mentioned. I can see my biggest problem is not knowing how to pull the data out of a .cap file and put it into a file like Excel that can be set up properly to load. Could you explain this in further detail?

Thanks,

;Recorded script. Editing may be required.
proc main
transmit "1800^M"
waitfor "RLI "
transmit "1^M"
waitfor "SDRR "
transmit "^M"
waitfor "ITEI "
transmit "^M"
waitfor "NPA "

ac 2 is defined in ld 86 prt esn.. i built a macro in excel to sort all of my station data so i could use merge in word to put it in my script files.. the script that you posted would work perfect. pull you npa's out of the old switch and open them with excel, do a data sort to get the area codes separate, delete all other data unless your using different rli's.. then you'll need tose in a separate column. then open your was file in word and use mail merge to replace 1800 with each of your area codes.. retransmit that to the new switch.. i have never tried to do that with the smaller loads.. the cdb,esn,dtr.nctl.. are almost as fast to re enter.. using those steps i can move npa, nxx, spn data in a couple of hours.. way faster then a retype and it is perfect
