how to configure my system as ftp server to point to the 3300 ICP software CD. system MX controller, PC operating sw windows 7.

You just need an FTP server program. I use Cesar FTP but there are many out there. Then you need to setup a user account (the defaults for a 3300 should be user: ftp pass: @) and have the default directory for that user pointing to the extracted install files.

In addition to having an FTP server running on the PC, you need to either temporarily disable your firewall or add a rule to allow FTP clients to connect.

You can use IIS in W7 but its more difficult to configure. It was pretty easy in XP. Otherwise use something like Filezilla.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
