How long will XP OEM licenses be available? 2

I am having trouble finding the current schedule to discontinue XP oem licenses sales. Does anyone know that the current plan is?

Last one I heard was that that June 30th date was extended to December 31, 2008... I'll try to confirm.

eyec is correct for DIRECT OEM and Retail licenses. System Builder Licenses (I believe this means for companies that pre-assemble and sell quantities of systems), the date is January 31, 2009 (2 years following the Vista Release).

I assume that Microsoft will continue to activate new installs of XP for an indefinite time.

I suppose I need to bite the bullet and get myself a copy of Vista (and maybe order a dozen copies of XP).

I found this information on downgrading OEM versions of Vista to XP. Very interesting.
