I apologize in advance for my newbness. Trial by fire here.

I've inherited a IP 403 system that's on rev. 3.2
It has a VMail Pro License which I've setup with an autoattendant.

Everything works great, except right now the location is split up into 2 physical sites. The main location comes into the IP 403 system, while the 2nd location has a separate phone number.

Is there a way for the autoattendant to transfer a call from the main location -> to the 2nd location? I've currently got the Autoattendant setup with a "transfer" and then dialing the 2nd number (7-digit with a 9 prefix). This works directly from an internally connected phone, but when dialing externally, the call is dropped. Am I missing something?

It's a small school, so currently there's two analogue trunk lines servicing the main location.

I hope this describes everything. Please let me know if I'm forgetting something. Thanks in advance.

What type of lines are you using?
Centrex lines or business class lines give a hook flash type transfer....

Simple way is.
create a user under the FORWARDING tab, uncodintional forwarding type the 10 digit number with a 9 in front of it and check the unconditinal forward box.
save config

In voime mail pro, if you created an option menu "transfer" under "specific tab" select ther user extension you forward unconditiuonal
it should work fine

General comment

Your setup sounds a _LOT_ like us except our sites are linked by wireless with IP phones at the remote site. I guess this wouldn't suit everyone though.

you will also need to make sure trunk to trunk connect is turned on in the lines. the problem is that every time a call get transfered you will use 2 lines and make all calls busy.

These are regular pots lines. I don't know if any of the features mentioned above are enabled for these lines. I remember one of my old workplaces having the same POTS lines, but I thought we could transfer out of the company. Is the "hook transfer" something that can be enabled? And if so, does it use two lines like trunk to trunk?

There are 4 total lines for the main location, but two are being used direct for fax lines. I'll see if I can connect with one since they aren't used that often.

The user + forward all trick didn't work. If it's helpful at all, the log is below. It's transfering to extension 199, which is setup to autoforward to 91650355XXXX:

Found it. The "analogue trunk to trunk" option had to be turned on in the line settings.

It does use both lines - but it'll have to do for now. Not a high volume of calls, so I don't think it'll be too much of an issue.
