ok i am using a field and i formatted that field as a percentage now when ever i type in 17.5% in the field,
when i go to datasheet view the number comes out as 1750.0%

now i've tried microsoft help but that wasn't any use at the moment

so am wondering if it is possible for someone to tell me how to round up a percentage to one decimal place so that 17.5% A.K.A VAT can be presented correctly

thanks for any help :)

Try typing in .175 and it will display as a 17.5%.

Change the type of number field to Double precision. Then when you enter .175 it returns a 17.50%. The default number of decimals is 2. If you only want one then enter a 1 in the decimal property. The result of a .175 entry will be 17.5%.

Good luck with your project.
