How do I upgrade or reload 3300 software.

Greetings.

I would like to know how one can either upgrade or reload the Mitel 3300 software.
I am interested in understanding the procedure from A-Z and any Gotchas.
I just need to be capable of doing in case it becomes called for.

First reload. You need to have the software installer tool and the release of software you are running as well as a backup of your database. The Technician's Handbook covers the entire process very well.

Secondly upgrades. Beside the items mentioned above you also require Software Assurance and access to MOL to retreive the latest software. The release notes for each release include upgrade instructions including the "gottchas".

To be clear, some upgrades require more steps in the process than others i.e. pre 5.0 to 6.0 . You should engage the resources availalable through a Mitel authorized dealer.

if you have access to Mitel on line suggest you download the technician handbook and read it as it covers using the software installer tool as well as how to do a manual install should you have issues with the software tool. Good idea to know how to do it both ways.
