I thinking on using that udsip.exe file to set up an static ip address to my merling magix system.
I need to know if this is something I can do and if it is something I can rely on.
Please if you know how to do this please reply.

Thanks in advanced.

I printed anothe rext info that is on the same calling group and that IS able to make outside phone calls and theonly difference between both of them is the "Forced Account Code" the value is "NO" on ext 321 and "YES" on the other ext.

Any Ideas?

Let me know

Thanks
Bob

I wrote that backwards!!!
"Forced Account Code"
Ext 321, VALUE = YES
Ext 322, VALUE = NO (This ext works fine)

With forced account code enabled for the extension you are forced to enter an account code before you can dial out. Goto extensions>fAC and delete the extension.

That was IT!!!

Thanks a lot CarGoSki. 321 was the only ext under the Forced Accounts I have no clue how it got there. Is there something that could force them with out you going into the switch and do it manually?

Let me know

Thanks again.

Here's another rookie question...
Can I connect to a partner system using winSPM? So far I've tried Magix and also Partner but the modem just keeps dialing and never goes thru.
This is what I sue to dial (External)
9,xxxxxxxxxx,,,,**10
Is this right or wrong?

Thanks
Bob

There is software you can download from Avaya's website for remote connections to Partner ACS processors.

Having said that, establishing a remote connection with a Partner ACS requires the presence of a particular PCMCIA card or (for R7 & R8 processors) an external modem.

Using the PCMCIA method, being able to establish a remote connection to a Partner ACS processor is a crapshoot at best. People have found that a US Robotics "Sportster" or many Lucent modems seem to work the best, but they are not 100%.

That was the reason, starting with the R7 processor, Avaya added a jack that you could use to plug in an external modem.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

You have piled too many different questions into your original thread. You would be best served by starting a new thread.

WinSPM is for Merlin only. Partner has its own software.
