Scanario:

1 Main switch with 2 EPNS [G3SI V8]at different locations/buildings [with different addreses]

Just ordered a PRI for out bound traffic at 1 Location
Now I need to make sure all the calls made at this location route out the new trunk.

I seup a new COR and changed the Partition Rounte table for PGN2 to match the new COR still not working

Is there any simple sollution to this?

In the new COR did you set the Time of Day Chart to (2)?

Thanks,

Trunk Group selection is done at the Route Pattern.
1sth the call is match in the ars table and then it is ether a route pattern , or Partition group, that goes to a route pattern.

So do a list ARS route chose on a outbound number and see where it think it needs to go.

Also do you have location setup, if you do, make sure you are working in the correct one.

Thanks for the quick response
Let me make sure Im talking about this right.....Im afraid if I make changes to the ars all calls from all EPNS will route out my ne trunk

i just want users that are sitting in the building to default outbound thru this trunk and not affect any other users/at diff locations...I checked a setup done by AVAYA in Location 3 and they are not using TIME of DAY so I was trying to duplicate what they were doing but Im still missing something.

If I change TOD to 2 its routes out another trunk on Main Switch [Different building/address]Were all in the same area code so ARS routing for specific NPA/NX is not a concern

Can one of send me a setp by step? i have the COR not sure about the PART Group what those mean and I have tons of what looks like unused Routing Tables

That is what the location are for, all you need to do is make sure that you are changing the ars location x for the correct location.

Does PGN in this case mean the same as EPNs
I.E

PGN 1 = Location 01Axxxx Site 1
PGN 2 = Location 02Axxxx Site 2
PGN 3 = Location 03Axxxx Site 3

And the numbers below them are CORs

And the numbers to the side are Route Tables

Routing Patterns
Route
Index PGN 1 PGN 2 PGN 3 PGN 4 PGN 5 PGN 6 PGN 7 PGN 8
----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
1 4 4 104
2 6 6 106
3 1 3 101

do a list ars ana location x where x is you location numbers.

I don't think 'tiaka' is using true 'Locations'...

According to your screen shot you have (3) Partition Groups assigned. In each Partition Group you have route patterns. 4,6,1 for PGN 1 - 4,6,3 for PGN2 - and 104,106,101 for PGN3. To apply a phone to one of the PGN's you need to set the TOD on the COR form.

You will need to identify each route pattern - determine where the 'new' trunk group is, and then assign your stations to use that PGN. This is done by changing the TOD on the COR form.

FYI: Time of Day, doesn't literally mean time-of-day, its slightly confusing...

Thanks,

Perfect found it

Didnt know if the numbers below PGN 1 PGN 2 PGN 3 were Route Patterns or CORs

Thanks for your help all
