How do a add a second home NPA?

In August we will be required to dial 10 digits for local calls and 11 digits for long distance calls. This is because another NPA is being added as a local NPA.
How can I require NPA+NXX+xxxx for all local calls instead of 7 digits? Can I add a second NPA as local in LD 15 or LD 90? Our trunks are both local and long distance, so I don't need to point the calls to specific routes. Thanks!

Remove all of your nxx's and build SPN's for the 2 area codes. That will force the users to dial it correctly. Or you could send your local nxx's to a DMI that adds the area code. Lots of things you can do with BARS. Here we have local dialing in 2 area codes, 913 and 816. We can still dial 7 digits within 913 local but obviously local in the 816 require the area code +7. I'm sure there are other ways to accomplish it but this works for me.

Easiest way I found is just add those 2 area codes as SPN's like KC said, that's what I did and even left the NXX's. We could actually dial either way for about the first month or so then eventually when we dialed just the 7 digit's we got a recording saying we need the area code.

Hi I tried to add my second NPA as a SPN, like Hawk mentioned, but I got an error that there is a conflict with another NXX or NPA. It is built as a long distance NPA - 1223. What am I missing? Thanks!
