We tried to use holiday coverage, but it wasn't working.

Point1: 2222 Rng: Point2: Point3:
Point4: Point5: Point6:

In holiday table 5 we filled in today's date for testing of course.
But the test failed. The external call dintn't go to the announcement (2222).
What more programming is needed?

Show us a cut and past of your holiday table 5. Could you have a mistake in the time?

I always enter holidays like this:

______START_______ _______END_______
Month Day Hour Min Month Day Hour Min Description
10 25 00 00 10 25 23 59 Holiday Today

Note the start time and end time.

I hope this helps

We tested with this:

Number: 5 Name: test

______START_______ _______END________
Month Day Hour Min Month Day Hour Min Description
10 24 00 00 10 28 00 00 test

Thanks for your help!

krad -- What does a list trace sta xxxxx give you when you call a station with cover path 1?

Your holiday table looks good to me

p08757,

It doesn't say much, because the station stays ringing

Here's the trace:

17:55:02 Calling party trunk-group 1 member 1 cid 0xde4
17:55:02 Calling Number & Name xxxxxxxx NO-CPName
17:55:02 dial xxxx
17:55:02 ring station xxxx cid 0xde4
17:55:02 G711A ss:eek:ff ps:20 rn:1/2 x.x.x.x:2854 x.x.x.x:2736
17:55:02 xoip: fax:eek:ff modem:eek:ff tty:eek:ff 10.18.60.15:2736 uid:0x8919
17:55:54 idle trunk-group 1 member 1 cid 0xde4

Try changing the "Inside" parameter to "y" and see if it works from an extension on your switch.

Check the COR of your station and see if it is allowed to call the COR of your announcement 2222.

Try activating Send All Calls and see if it works.

Can a coverage path be an announcement extension?

Same problem when calling inside with "inside" parameter = "y"

SenAllCalls can't be activated while it isn't programmed.

If I set "DND/SAC/Goto Cover" to "y" then, when actived, the call goes to the announcement.

krad -- Status your station and see if SAC or DND is activated on that station.

In the mean time I took the time to search in several manuals and on the Avaya support site.
Not much info on this topic ...

We use a very simple holiday coverage,,, don't know if it helps you or not.. but..
why not just put in a step in your main incoming vector like
route to xxxx if holiday in table 1
vdn xxxx points to vector xxxx
vector xxxx processes call however you want, plays specific announcements, coverage to vm, hunt group or whatever..
