you can connect virtually any sip switch to ipo. depending on what you want to achieve and what are the configurable options in the soft switch.
what I have done on basic soft sip switches is register the ipo sip trunk to an extension on the sip switch, now you can dial any extension and dial out the trunks on the sip switch.
for sip switch to ipo create a trunk to trunk, non registered, so now extensions on the sip switch can dial extensions on the ipo using the trunk.
