high point of call volume 2

it has been asked of me to find out how many calls the switch is processing at the busiest point of the day. i was asked to include all calls. internal to internal, internal to external, and external to internal.
 
internal will have a set TNB CLS that will need set to allow on each one.

That's a really easy report in TFC001

Just set it to run hourly:

Then once an hour, do this

LD 2
.INVC 0 1
and enter the resulting data into this spreadsheet called "TFC001"
It will provide exactly what you need. You don't need to make any TN changes.

so invc 0 1 is hour 1 (midnight to 1 am) and so on? i think it may be set, this is the printout when i did invc 0 1:

That data probably isn't valid unless your Traffic schedule was already defined before you changed it. You might have to wait for an hour to pass by.

Every hour it updates, so you have to run this report once every 60 minutes to catch each hour.

There are ways to put it into a Traffic History file, or just have it print out on paper. But at this point, I'd just log in once an hour then decide if you need to get more automated.

For those of you curious. This report includes internal call count, internal duration, external call count, external duration, and more....all separated fields.

so you are saying i need to make suyre this part:

If you did that, then it is now set up to collect once per hour, on the hour, accumulating the previous 60 minutes of usage.

.SSHC 0 means "Set Schedule for Customer"

.TSHC 0 means "Tell Schedule for Customer"

.SOPC 0 1 means "Set Option Report 1"

.TOPC 0 means "Tell Options"

"S" sets it, "T" views it.

this is probably a dumb question, but why multiply by 1.66 in,

Incoming External Call Minutes
Outgoing External Call Minutes
Internal Call Minutes
 
That's because the report shows "CCS" otherwise known as "Hundreds of Seconds"

Example:

Report shows "492"
That equals "49200 Seconds"
492 * 1.66 = 816 minutes of call usage

"Tandem" means call into your system and transferred out. It can be over TIE lines or just incoming callers asking for an outside line.

could that be MIPCD calls as well?
 
I'm not sure. I have never tested that call type to see. If it involves a trunk to trunk call, then yes it would be included.

could the tandem calls be between additional/remote
sites as well?
 
If two trunks are connected to each other, that's "Tandem"

I don't know your network, so I can't say exactly what applies in your case.

on sheet 2, TCF002 TRUNK ROUTE TRAFFIC WORKSHEET, what is the time frame the info is from that is totaled for each route.

The time period is based on this:
