Hi

For format HD Hicom 300e P30252B4000
where to find HD files and layout

Is that Version 2 Hicom ?
Sell them an upgrade....
It does not seem to be available anymore from Unify

Hi

Yes V2 Hicom

Upgrade is not possible

I not really found in Unify or on the Internet

Thanks

Can you locate another V2 Hicom to copy out to MO ?

I will try and find a copy on an old SCSI disk but it would take a few days.
If you have SEBA access from Unify they may release it to you ?

Check with Black Box Resale Services. They may be able to get you a used drive.

Contact Kelly.Plude@blackbox.com with the part number you listed above, and tell him it's for a Hicom 300e V2 and see if they can find you something.

Hi,
If you have access to the original Hicom 300 V2 can you just copy out to an MO disk, then create a new disk from that ?

I got a HD borrowed, with PCHI can copy and rewrite a new HD?

Isn't PCHI just for formatting out 4000 V5 and lower disks? I would have to look in my notes from class.

I was kind of wondering about this question because you guys were referring to Hicom 300 V2, which I assume means 9006.2, which is what I started with, and I never remember the 300 having anything but those annoying DAT drives. Didn't the MO disk come out with 4000 V3 or V4? I know V5 had the CF card instead because I had that, and V6 changed the hardware and started backing up on HD. V7 is slicker than snot because you just clone the whole system disk off to a spare.

EXE-UPDAT:BP,ALL;
EXE-UPDAT:A1,ALL;

Put in a new MO Disk
STA-INIT:A1,A1H61;
COPY-DDRSM:A1,1,E&F,6,E&F,N;

Remove MO Disk
Setup on new system
Startup from MO Disk

Copy from MO to new Hard Disk on new system

STA-INIT:A1,A1H11;
DEA-DSSM:A1,1;
ACT-DSSM:A1,1;
DEA-DSSM:A1,1;
COPY-DDRSM:A1,1,6,E&F,1,E&F,N;

Alternative is put new hard disk into old system in place of MO drive
Give it SCSI ID same as MO 6

Copy from old HDD to new HDD
Remove new HDD and start it up on new system.

PCHI will only be required if starting to transfer files via PC
