I am looking to find a debug mode on our phone system. It has the symptoms of losing power although other devices in that same UPS are not losing power. All sets go dark. By the time I race back there though, the lights are on , on the power cards. Ground is tight and measures good. Please tell me where to find the history logs.

Thanks, Jeff

I hope this helps. I have not tried this, but got this from the manual.

12.2.1 Customer Data Backup
The CDBase (customer database), including call data and activated features, is
saved for approximately 100 hours in the event of a power failure.
The CDBase is backed up once a day (at midnight system time). During backup, the
system copies the CDBase to main memory. You cannot make any changes to the
CDBase during this period. Access to the CDBase is denied for local and remote administration
and for Plus products (lockout is approximately 30 ms).
The system then transfers the copied area to the Flash Memory Card (this is timeintensive
and may take more than 20 seconds, depending on load). After the data has
been written, the system generates a checksum of the CDBase on the Flash Memory
Card and compares it to the checksum in main memory. If an error occurs, the system
attempts the backup procedure three times. If the backup is unsuccessful, the system
makes an entry in error memory.

....
12.3.4.2 Error Memory
An error memory area with 5 entries is provided for each line. When an error occurs,
an error identifier is entered along with a time stamp. The error identifier shows
the following:
z No dial tone (analog boards)
z Layer 1, 2, or 3 error
z Board error
You can use Hicom Assistant E to convert error memory to a readable format
for display.
12.3.4.3 Measuring System-Wide Use of Features
Feature counters (such as caller list, PU, or busy override) are incorporated into the
system. You can use Hicom Assistant E to display the counts. Each time a feature is
used, the corresponding counter is incremented.
....

Good luck

Thanks for the help. I was able to click on the GUI, access the log information by clicking on MAINT, then MAINT button again, then was able to read the logs and save them to a text file for debugging.
