hi all, i recently bought a hicom 150e and have been scouring the net for days trying to find the pinouts for the connectors on the back of the unit for the extensions etc but to avail, i did manage to find a service manual but isnt much help, just wondered if anyone had the pinouts or installation manual with the pinouts etc, unfortunetely we didnt get any of the cabling with the units so cant even guess? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks joe

They are 'stecker' plugs.
Proprietary Siemens Plugs on 48-50 pair cables allowing you 24 Extensions

I presume that THIS is the type of cable you mean?
You can also get them with the plug at both ends and one end fits to the Hicom 150 and the other end to a proprietary 24 way patch panel.

I have no contact/information/anything to do with that site - it is just an example of the cable...

When I worked on the 150E/H Office Pro everything was just standard Amphenol tails - I forget if the connector on the tail has to be male or female now, but you just bunch down the cut end to a standard 110 block (or 66 block if you must) and plug the amphenol end onto the back of the cabinet. Then you get 24 ports, 1 pair each, for the SLMO and SLMA cards, and 16 for the TMCOT trunk cards...

I have not messed with the smaller little versions of the 150 - I suppose it's possible they could have proprietary connectors on them, as nothing would surprise me!!

hi, thanks for the help, the connectors are square type ive tried to attach a picture of backpanel but couldnt do it, i was wondering if anyone had an installion manual with pinouts, i need to know which pins are paired on the connectors and on the phone.

Ohhh... There are also connectors on the back of the PRO cabinets for connecting multiple cabinets together - those ones would be more rectangular in shape - like maybe 3 rows of 10 pins or something like that - I know there were special cables for that. Those pinouts might be in the 150 service manual. I'll have to try and remember to look when I get back in the office. I have a 250 IP station cut on Friday so I've been a bit busy getting ready - tends to make the ADD worse!!

hi, the manual lists what the connectors are for like x1 x17 etc but doesnt give the pinout, i think there maybe a more in depth manual for these but ive not been able to find it, guess you must have to go on their course to get that information, any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated, i could also do with knowing which pins on the phones are used as well, thanks joe

Are you looking at connectors labeled like X3, X6, etc?? I have pinouts for those kind of connectors in my service manual. If the connector you need halp with has a designation like that let me know so I can find it.

Those 'square' type connectors are normally for interconnecting more shelves ?
I will check on Monday when I can look at one in the field
