Hello I am new to the forum and although I searched it I couldn't find an answer to my problem.
I have a Siemens Hicom 150E Office One (v. 2.2) which worked fine for many years, lately I decided to re-program it using the isdn access, but during the download of the CDB, the connection is broken and appear the message “PBX offline”.
Only once, several months ago, I managed to download the whole CDB. Then it was no longer possible: the connection always stops at a different percentage of the download.
However I can still access the maintenance of the "managers E".

So I tried to connect directly, using RS232 interface on V24/1 board throw NullModem cable.
But, after 6 min, I always get this error message: "No ACK log ...”
Settings are 9600/8/1/none from both sides (Manager E, driver on my computer and Hicom);
Software is Hipath 3000 manager E;
Communication cable is null modem;
PBX software version is 2.2;
On my computer I use a Usb to Rs232 emulator.
What is strange is that only once, after many connection attempts, I managed to download the CDB without problems. The next day, with the SAME configuration, I had the same problem "no ACK log".

Can anyone help me? Thank in advance?

Errata Corrige:

I have a Siemens Hicom 150E Office Com (v. 2.2), not Office One

Are you using a newer manager?
Something like V9 R2.2.0

Do you have access to a Laptop or PC with a Serial Port rather than USB to Serial
Different ones are more buggy than others.

Hi, thank you for your quick response.
I'm using Hipath 3000 manager E V8 r. 5.1.0.
I have Win XP and I also tried with a serial port PC, but nothing.
Anyway I will try with an old laptop with XP with serial port.

It is possible that problems are related to the PBX? Are there other parameters I need to modify on the PBX more than to V.24 baudrate? And what you think about the issues with the ISDN connection (instability)?

Thanks!

Hi
You can download the V9 manager HERE
Win XP with a serial port should work fine.
Check the speed because it could be changed, try 19200 or 9600 both at 8N1NN

Yes it is possible that the PBX is causing the issue however try again with the Serial directly connected

Thank you for the new software.
The direct connection (RS232) does not work, neither with a computer with a serial port on the motherboard.
However, I finally managed to connect via ISDN and change the configuration of the CDB.
Thanks !!

Great.
Are you sure you have the correct cable ?
Anyhow glad you got sorted

Just a quick follow-up note, the Hicom 150 is VERY anal retentive about the cable you use to connect to the COM port. You need to try and find a cable that has all 25 pins wired. They are pretty hard to find. It is also very anal retentive about using a real, physical serial port and not a USB to serial adapter. Since you already got it working it's not an issue, but just in case someone searches for this down the road.

Hi,

Regarding my cable, I have a null modem cable, but I will try to buy a 25 pins wired...
At the momenti I'm using ISDN connection.

BTW Where can I find the manual for Hipath manager V9?
Or the "online help" Guide?

Thank!

Hi,
The cable is a standard 9 way female to 25 way male

The help files for the Manager are located Here
