HI. POWER OUTAGE AND PBX DOWN.
PBX BACK UP BUT T1 (NOT A PRI) FOR DSN/ATVN SERVICE, ENABLED BUT WON'T CONNECT TO FAR END, CALL DOES NOT COMPLETE.

TESTED CABLING BY UNPLUGGING CABLES FROM CSU TO PBX AND T1, T1 QPC720E CARD, GOES RED, PLUG BACK IN AND GREEN.
UNPLUG NETWORK CABLE AT CSU AND TELCO NIU GOES RED, PLUG BACK IN AND GREEN.
PULL NIU AND CSU GOES RED, RE-INSERT NIU AND CSU IS GREEN

T1 IS PROGRAMMED ON QPC720 CARD WITH LOOP/NETWORK CARD QPC414C. BOTH CARDS HAVE BEEN CHANGED WITH THE SAME RESULTS.
TELCO SEES NO ISSUE. WORKING WITH NOC AND THEY BELIEVE THERE IS A LOOP BACK SOME PLACE. NO LB ON PBX

T1 PROGRAMMED AS D4/AMI/DG2.

NORMAL CALL PROCESS IS TO DIAL 8 (ACCESS CODE) AND GET DIAL TONE THEN DIAL 7 OR 10 DIGITS AND CALL CONNECTS.
NOW, DIAL 8 (ACCESS CODE) AND NO DIAL TONE, DIAL REMAINING DIGITS AND CHANNELS LOCK OUT, T1 IS STILL ENABLED.
RE-ENABLE LOOP AND CHANNELS ARE IDLE AGAIN.

LEC ON SITE FOR INSTALL OF ANOTHER CIRCUIT AND I HAD HIM CHECK T1 AND IT SHOWED UP AND RUNNING. ASKED WHAT THE LINE CODING WAS AND IT WAS B8ZS ESF. THE PBX T1 CARD HAS ALWAYS BEEN PROGRAMMED AS D4 AMI AND HAS WORKED? SHOULD THIS HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE? SHOULD IT BE REPROGRAMMED, BEEN QUITE A WHILE SINCE I'VE PROGRAMMED T1s...

ANY SUGGESTIONS IN RESOLVING ISSUE WOULD BE HELPFUL.
THANKS FOR YOUR TIME

FORGOT TO SHARE THAT PBX IS OPTION 81C, RLS 25.30

THIS IS A STRAIGHT T1, NO D CHANNEL, WOULD THERE STILL BE AN ADAN ASSOCIATED WITH IT?

Sounds like you need a T-Berd and someone that knows how to run it.

If it is in fact the Line Coding is a mismatch then it would be hard to believe it worked before. How did the tech check the line coding?

HI. I PROVIDED TELCO LEC/AT&T TECH THE CIRCUIT ID AND HE WAS ABLE TO TELL ME THE LINE CODING.
I CONFIRMED PBX LINE CODING IN CEQU.
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW ITS BEEN WORKING EITHER, BUT IT HAS BEEN FOR MANY YEARS. I DON'T HAVE A T-BERD UNFORTUNATELY.
I'VE HAD UNSCHEDULED POWER OUTAGES BEFORE AND ALTHOUGH PAINFUL TO BRING THE PBX BACK UP, IT STILL COMES UP AND MY DSN T1 HAS BEEN THE MOST CONSISTENT SERVICE TO COME UP QUICKLY WITH NO ISSUE. PBX IS OLD AND MY BATTERIES DON'T PROVIDE MORE THAN 40 MINUTES BACKUP ANYMORE; ONCE ATO IS APPROVED, I'LL BE MOVING DSN TO CISCO SWITCH. ITS STILL A FEW MONTHS OUT.
