The buttons on a 5621 to set a HG in Night/OoS are not getting black anymore like they used to in the 4.2.x This is when I leave the "Action Data" blanc. You can see the "O" in the Display but thats it. Anyone ran into this?

Someone posted this a while back, I think it was Kyle, Avaya have said that in the past it was a bug that it worked and they have now fixed it, even though the Docs state that it's supposed to work, Avaya then said the Docs are wrong......idiots :)

Why giving no visual indication of multiple groups being out of/in night service is seen as a good idea is beyond me, I would have thought that would be the strongest case for having a visual indication....but what do I know? :)

ya it doesnt make sense to me either. the avaya tech was tier 3 and when i questioned him about it he basically said working as designed and he could not get it up to tier 4. he said it was a bug and the docs are wrong. the last release it works in is 4.2.17

Then it is a bug from 3.0 or so :)

The docs state that it's a feature since 4.0 but as the Docs are wrong they have been wrong for the last couple of years, I would have thought Avaya would have picked up on that a long time ago :)

Bas, if you have a 1608 or 1616 then you just have to give yourself the option to set it from your phone
I think they broke it with this new option

It is a very precise mistype/mistake isn't it, If I were more cynical I might have thought they have added/broke something that makes this impossible and they are just ssying it's a bug and the docs have been so wrong to save face......good job I am not like that :)

Ok got meself a workaround.

Create a HuntGroup Enable button, also leave it blank.

Now when you set "Night" / "Out of Service" press the Huntgroup enable button twice to "refresh" the screen.

It is indeed a bug, happened 1/2 way through the 5 trials. Supposed to be corrected in the first MR, or you can get a private build I'm told.

The CQ number is 84475, and will be solved in the next release Q1 2010 :-(
