Hello All,

I've been having issues with T1 being down for 4 days and the provider has finally gotten out and repaired the lines and redesigned our route. As of right now the local trunk is up at the demarc, but their stating our system is configured incorrectly and keeps locking out the D channel. I can busyout/release the board and get the trunk and signaling group up, but the second I complete a test call the trunk goes down into OOS/FE. I've contacted the provider and they stated that they need the layer 2 messages being sent back to the CO. I'm only a level 1 supporter and am waiting for the data requested.

Below is the Test board results I get, but I'm not sure what im looking at. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

We've replaced the DS1 Board, Verified framing, line coding and timing. I'm just sick of angry emails from my sale departments about the lines being down.

Thanks,

your d-channel is out-of-service
your trunks would also be out-of-service-NE or out-of-service-FE

Most likely a telco provider issue. If a new circuit, possible protocol mismatch
for the ds1 board programming. In this case, d-channel would never come up, it would not
be up and down.

The trunk has been in place for 11 years and was recently repaired after a cable cut underground.

The D channel will go up for about 30 seconds, but once I place a test call it goes out of service. As of right now I finally have the telco looking at their configurations after getting them the layer 2 messages being sent over the D channel. I'll update when I hear more from the telco.

I would love to try the Root stuff, but I'm not "allowed" as I'm still green when it comes to system configurations, I spend 90% of my time in Avaya CMS and programming callflows for our call center.
