I HAVE A REPORT WRITTEN DIRECTLY INTO THE VFP PROGRAM IN THE FOLLOWING FORMAT: @ ... SAY "...." AND SO ON.

I SET THE PRINTER AS FOLLOW:
SET PRINTER TO NAME (lcPrinterName)
SET DEVICE TO PRINTER
SET CONSOLE OFF
SET PRINTER ON
...
REPORT CODE HERE AS: @ ... SAY "...."

SET PRINTER OFF
SET DEVICE TO SCREEN

WHEN I ASK TO PRINT, VFP SOMETIMES DOESN'T SEEM TO RENDER THE JOB OR THE PRINTER SPOOLER GET JAM.

I DON'T KNOW WHY IT DOES THAT.

ANY SUGGESTTION!!!!

THANKS,
venado

venado,

Add at least one SET PRINTER TO command to the end of the code you listed. (I've found in some circumstances two are required, and since the extra one has never seemed to hurt, I always add two.) I'm not really sure why, but I've always thought that if it works, don't question it too hard <g>.

SET PRINTER OFF
SET DEVICE TO SCREEN
SET PRINTER TO
SET PRINTER TO
