Long story short, I've just taken possession of a business using a Norstar system with CallPilot 100 (I think) and I'm having a pretty basic functionality issue.

I can't figure out how to get the phone sets to ring with inbound calls. Currently the line indicator shows an inbound call and the red button next to the LCD screen lights up but the phone doesn't audibly ring. I've played with ringer & ring type features and I get a lot of ringing when configuring but it still will not ring when we receive a call.

I'm convinced it has to be some other programming issue. The phone sets are the NT8B26AABL

Does anyone have any advice here? Thanks!

You are playing with user features.
What you need is configuration programming and to know its password.....this is not a house phone.
Best to call your local programming tech in.

Yes you are correct it needs to be programmed in the system configuration. Access requires the installer password.

Thanks -- so it's not something that can be done on the main admin phone? Will I need to plug into the system with a PC? I'm trying to put a bandaid on it for a few weeks until I can swap out their system for my company wide VOIP system.
