Scenario:
Customer has ACS R.6.04(flshd) T1 module, 2 308 & Partner Messaging. Everything works fine, AA answers all Lines.

Customer now wants to have 2 DID's go to certain ext.
(obtained DID's from provider)

I went into remote programming and programmed the DID routing table to send DID 4553 to ext 20 and programmed the
table to send DID 5001 to ext 29. Went into the line configuration and programmed the last two channels to not be covered by the VMS and selected Yes to the Assign line for DID operation.

Now I call in on either DID and I get the main directory. Call does not go to the DID. Checked programming twice, everything is still there.

What am I misssing???

Thanks

Ron K.

How many digits is the lec sending. If you look on the same page as the did mapping, it has a box of how many digits to expect. Then maybe check those last 2 channels (20&21 I think) and see if you have them set up as did (under lines)

Should be it

I Called the service provider and found out that they are sending 7 digits. I have requested them to send only 4. I do believe this is the problem.

And yes I do have the last 2 chnls/lines set up as did lines.

thank you

What is happening is it's going to the AA because it isn't recognized and I would assume you have DID Backup Destination set to the AA, have them set it to 4 digits and I think you will be fine.

Ok, After arguing with provider(normal) they have assurred me that they are sending only (4) digits down the pipe, no caller id.
My programming is as follows:
16 channel T1 in & out All ok.
vm answers all ring # 0-1
lines 4 -17 are set up as
Line 04:
Line Type: T1 E&M Line
T1 Channel Number: 9-22
Disconnect Time: 300
Ring Pattern: 1
Group Call Distribution: Group 7 - VMS AA
Line Coverage Extension: None
VMS Hunt Delay - Day: 0
VMS Hunt Delay - Night: 0
VMS Hunt Schedule: Always
Assign Line for DID Operation: No
T1 Inward Dial Mode: Touch Tone
T1 Incoming Seizure Type: Wink
T1 Outward Dial Mode: Touch Tone
T1 Outgoing Seizure Type: Wink
T1 Incomming Answer Supervision Time: 300
T1 Supply Local Dial Tone: Yes

lines 18 & 19 are set as
Line Type: T1 E&M Line
T1 Channel Number: 23-24
Disconnect Time: 300
Ring Pattern: 1
Group Call Distribution: None
Line Coverage Extension: None
VMS Hunt Delay - Day: 0
VMS Hunt Delay - Night: 0
VMS Hunt Schedule: Night Only
Assign Line for DID Operation: Yes
T1 Inward Dial Mode: Touch Tone
T1 Incoming Seizure Type: Wink
T1 Outward Dial Mode: Touch Tone
T1 Outgoing Seizure Type: Wink
T1 Incomming Answer Supervision Time: 300
T1 Supply Local Dial Tone: Yes

DID Mapping as
T1 Module Parameters:
Clock Type: Loop Clock
CSU Activation: Enabled
Framing Type: Extended Super Frame (ESF)
Line Encoding: Binary Zero Code Suppression (B8ZS)
Signalling Type: Robbed Bit
Line Build Out: 0dB
Line Equalization Transmission Length: 0-110 feet
DID Mapping Table:
DID Expected No. of Digits: 4

DID Backup Extension: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA

DID Item No.: 1 DID No.: 4553 Ext.: 29
DID Item No.: 2 DID No.: 5001 Ext.: 21

What am I missing?? Do I have to route all DID's. like

DID Item No.: 1 DID No.: 4553 Ext.: 29
DID Item No.: 2 DID No.: 5001 Ext.: 21
DID Item No.: 3 DID No.: 3030 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 4 DID No.: 0780 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 5 DID No.: 0781 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 6 DID No.: 7253 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 7 DID No.: 7254 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 8 DID No.: 5591 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 9 DID No.: 3001 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 10 DID No.: 3002 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA
DID Item No.: 11 DID No.: 4141 Ext.: Hunt Group 7 -VMS AA

Do I have to partition the channels more? 8 / 8
(I need the main channel to roll over at least 8 lines..

Does the provider have to route the DID's i require to a partitioned table on their end, IE.
Send DLN, ported #'s to table 1 (ch 9-22)
specific DID's to channels 23-24

Help????

Just when I thought I had it!!
