Hello...

I am the techie person for my church and we have what I believe is a merlin legend system. We are inheriting a new building.

there is this processor thing that says

cke4
408 gs/ls-milx
some did things

and the big phone is a att mlx-20l

How do I start over?

What manuals do I need to program the thing?

Can I do it with Windows? serial terminal or?

It looks just like this ebay auction but it's bigger more ports... 3079581452

If someone would be so kind to help us that would be great.

Go to Avaya.com and look under documentation for mid size business systems. The manuals are just shy of 1000 pages and if you have no experience, it may look greek to you.

The DID card is for direct inward dial lines. Are they still active?

You can program from that MLX20L, as well as a program called WINSPM. You would need that gui installed on your pc and then need an adaptor from your com port to the admin port on the cke4 processor (called a 355a)

If there is nothing wrong with the system, i would leave it alone, especially if you have no experience with a Legend. IF there are some things you want to change, post questions on this forum, the guys here are VERY helpful.
