I have an Ultra 10 with Solaris 2.5.1 that I would like to use only as a test environment to play with #ufsdump and then #ufsrestore for /, /var and /usr partitions only and then later install Veritas Netbackup 5.0 for the same purposre and when I get comfortable with ufsdump; ufsrestore and NetBackup I will install NetBackUp on SUN FIRE V880. The Ulta 10 was a working unit, I replaced it with SUN BLADE 1500 for the user's request. The Ultra 10
was at the other location (IP address 172.30.41.62).
I disconected everything and brougt to a different location where I plan on working on it. Network administrator assigne4d IP address 172.30.7.265 and after I connected everything, I can't boot the station, receiving the message: 'SUNW,hme0: Link down Cable problem?'
I took the Ultra 10 back to the original location just as a test and was able to boot it without any problem.
Any suggestions and comments would be appreciated.
Thank you,
