I was just given the duties of maintaining the BCM1000 where I work. Records were not kept on anything here as far as I can tell and I am trying to add a new phone. When I go into the unified manager / services/ telephony services nothing appears. I can't see any of the active or inactive DN's. Would a reboot solve this problem? IS there a standard reboot procedure for this? Any help would be appreciated.

You could try a cold reboot ie: pull the plug

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Depending on how many phones and such, it will take about 10 to 20 min to boot.

BCM301 build 7. I don't believe this thing has ever been upgraded since it was installed.

Cool thanks I'll try that out. Is there also a way to change the outgoing caller ID for a specific DN?

In config services>telephony>DNs on line access you have public OLI enter the number there.

You guys are great! Thanks for all the help. The java version was the problem.
