Need some clarification on programming a headset key on the Dterm phone usinf CAT

My Steps:

9000>142,01 (DE)
Displayed 9000>142,01:142-
I entered 1090 EXE
Data Not Found was the response.

I noticed the manual says F1090 - does this "F" need to be entered and if so - How?

Hex for Dtrem Programming

A = Programmable button 1 (LK1)
B = Programmable button 2 (LK2)
C = Programmable button 3 (LK3)
D = Programmable button 4 (LK4)
E = Programmable button 5 (LK5)
F = Programmable button 6 (LK6)

So on a Dterm Series I 16 button phone how would i program the headset key on key 01?

I am still not clear.

Thanks for the help!

First make sure you are not programming on the phone you are trying to change.

Second if there is a password enter it in 03>7>

Third move your Prime line to another key.
9000>142,01>CCC EXE
9000>142,02>142 EXE

Then program the headset/handset key
9000>142,01>F1090

you should be golden at this point. Data not found is a generic message that lets you know that its a missed key stroke or the password hasn't been entered.

I verfied there was no password on the system.

How can you tell if a key has no assigment?

Using CAT how do I enter the "F" in the command line?

Thanks,

if the key has an assignment then it will display on the lcd after the second DE

9000>142,01 press DE
if it has an assignment you will see
9000>142,01>142 (for the prime line)
if it has no assignment it will display
9000>142,01>

on an I series phone top row button 6 from the left is F. button 1 being the top left button.

Dr VuDu

here is what i did/saw:

9000>142,01 (DE)
Displayed 9000>142,01:142-

Does this mean the key had no assignment?

9000>142,01:142-
right now that key is assigned as the extension 142

if you want to make it a H/H key put in F1090 EXE
but you will have to reassign 142 on another button
Ergo. pick a button (142,02 through 142,16) buttons 2-16

Thanks, I think it makes sense now.

One more question - would the "F" key be the same as the HELP key?

Forget last submission - found in previous thread

on an I series phone top row button 6 from the left is F. button 1 being the top left button

Hi,
To programme the headset key on an i series phone you need to leave the 1st key as the my line key for example

9000>142,01>142

otherwise you will not be able to dial out. my advice would be to make the last key or key 8 the headset key and leave key 1 as the my line key. so fo example

9000>142,16>F1090.

Hope this helps!
