I want upgrade(via clean install) the old P-III with win-98 to Win 2000 Pro. Just run Upgrade Report utility (chkupgrd.exe from ms) that examined the computer and
listed known software and hardware issues.
Hardware incompatible:
Display adapters Intel(r) 82815 Graphics Controller, Hard disk controllers Digital Camera DISK device (not currently present), Modem Conexant SoftK56 Data,Fax,Speakerphone PCI Modem, Sound, video and game controllers/ Avance AC'97 Driver for Intel(r) 82801BA Controller, BDA IPSink (not currently present), BDA MPE Filter (not currently present), BDA Slip De-Framer (not currently present), NABTS/FEC VBI
Codec (not currently present), World Standard Teletext Codec (not currently present).
Software incompatible: Intel(r) Graphics Technology (in Control Panel). Also, IrfanView Help file incompatible and Microsoft DirectX 9.0(requires upgrade).
