Hi guys! I'm facing with an strange issue. I've two IPO's 500 v11 connected with sip trunks between them, the calls are working with g711alaw codec, that's 'cause we don't have enough vcm modules to translate them to G729a. If an user in Side A calls to Side B the call is established and finished well, but when side B hang off the 1608 phone goes to reboot. This is hapenning with 80% of calls between IPO's.

Someone has any advice respect?

A monitor trace would be helpful of whatever hits the 1608 at the end of the call.

Is the condition the same regardless of who hangs up first?

Best guess is something funky in that SIP BYE translates into something IPO sends the 1608 that makes it puke.

Hi @Okkie26 @hairlessupportmonkey!!!
I use SIP Trunks 'cause we have another integration with a 3th party Cloud PBX in other location. My customer bought sip trunks before recomendations and we had to configure it with sip trunks.
At least for now, we can't change the kind of lines to SCN, and yes, I know than SCN is better in this environment

Now, we was working with G729 because we noted than if we use the G711alaw codec the calls have robotic voice and bad quality in calls, something strange 'cause we have a VPN link with enough BW to support them. Like I said, we don't have VCM modules to support transcoding so we decided to configure the calles between this locations with G711alaw and allowing direct media path, so after that, we had the voice quality issues than I wrote and the restarting problems in H323 phones

We are looking for a solution to avoid to buy another vcm module but all seems like it will be my next move, anyone has an advice???

Install VCM channels and your problem goes away.
The VCM chips are not only for codecs but also it holds the Gatekeeper used to assign portnumbers used for VoIP calls.
