It's lightweight, FREE, easy to use and non intrusive on the Win OS. Plus it gives you a ton of *nix/GNU tools and programs to work with in your Win environment, if you so choose.
My preference has always been Xming and putty when on Windows - remember you'll have to configure sshd_config on the linux box to allow X11 forwarding (you'd be amazed at how often that is overlooked).
I recently read about Xandros BridgeWays Mgmt console which is designed to aid Windows Admins in administering RedHat servers. Although I would rather take the time to learn/use the OS tools, this just might prove useful to you.
