Does anyone have an idea or tools that can be used to access a Linux server remotely, that is to see the KDE or Gnome desktop?

VNC is not allowed in my organization, go figure...any help will be highly appreciated.

You could use either CygWin or XMin in Windows to start an X session.

Hi nimrodman,

Cygwin/X would be the way to go.
It's lightweight, FREE, easy to use and non intrusive on the Win OS. Plus it gives you a ton of *nix/GNU tools and programs to work with in your Win environment, if you so choose.

My preference has always been Xming and putty when on Windows - remember you'll have to configure sshd_config on the linux box to allow X11 forwarding (you'd be amazed at how often that is overlooked).
