Hi all

I have an ipo 500v2 R9.1 with communicators on pc's.
I have a group with voicemail and broadcast on, that's working fine.
But when a user listens to a vm the other user still has the indication on.
Is there any way to fix this.

Yes
Use it a group mailbox & not a broadcast distribution list (turn of broadcast)

The thing is they want notification on both users and if one of them hears the vm
then the notification must be turn off on the other user

Use a group mailbox and enter the following in the users source number:

H<Group_Name> Allows the user to receive message waiting indication of new group messages. Enter H followed by the group name, for example HMain. The group is added to the user’s Visual Voice menu.
On suitable display extensions, the hunt group name and number of new messages is displayed. Refer to the appropriate telephone user guide.

If the user is not a member of the group, a voicemail code must be set for the group's mailbox. See the setting Group | Voicemail | Voicemail Code .

All users with this source number get MWI.

You can also add this to avoid having to enter the VM Pin everytime:

V<Caller's ICLID> Strings prefixed with a V indicate numbers from which access to the users mailbox is allowed without requiring entry of the mailbox's voicemail code. This is referred to as "trusted source".
For Voicemail Pro running in Intuity mode, trusted source is used for calls from programmable buttons set to Voicemail Collect and Visual Voice. Other controls are prompted for the mailbox number and then password.

Unfortunately Alfails has given you most of the answer.

I had deliberately[highlight given you just enough information to lead you down the correct path if you were to read the help files* & system documentation.

if you are going to administer your own system it would be a good idea to request basic admin training from your maintainer (or directly from Avaya)

if you are maintaining these systems for someone else then basic training is ESSENTIAL..

*it comes as a great shock to many to discover the Hemp files built into manager are (unlike those for most other programs) very good & usable

Hi all

This works fine on (suitable display extensions) but it's not working on Avaya communicator.
