We have an SOE running 3.2 (54) in a residential setting and want to have "Page All" so announcements can be made through out the house.

I was able to make this work on DS phones but not IP phones.

I used button programming of:

Action = Dial Paging (Advanced -> Dial -> Dial Paging)
Action Data = 501 (Hunt Group all phones are in)

The Page All can be heard on all Digital Stations but none of the IP hard phones.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I got the same problem at one of my client, what I found out was that it is a software issue and that Avaya were going on fixing the issue. The issue has not been fixed in 3.2.54.

Thanks, I know I'm not crazy because in our office we have a 406v2 and duplicated the problem on our set up (which has a mix of IP Hardphones and DS).

Did you set up your all page the same way I did (Dial Paging and then in the Data field entering a hunt group all phones are in??).

I have this working exactly as you have it set up David.
I do have the latest software for both VM Pro and IPO.

progc,

Are you saying you can page to an IP hardphone without a problem?

If so, what's your hardware set up (IP Office, IP phone, and DS phone models).

@ davidct
did your ipphones pulled there firmware from a tftp server ?
when they are new out of the box they have 2.2 on it
you need 2.3

tlpeter,

How do I check the running firmware? I believe the answer is yes, as I recall the phones pulling an upgrade the first time I booted them.

What model IP phone are you using? In my set up they are 5621SW.

just hit the "mute"button followed by typing "view"
then you can search for it

tlpeter,

pressing mute and then typing view does nothing.

tlpeter,

Press "mute" and then type "VIEW", and then hit the "#" key

kbrocius, tlpeter,

Adding "#" after VIEW did the trick.

The .bin file on my phones are i20d01a2_3.bin.
So I presume this is version 2.3.

HOWEVER -- suddenly the all page is now working to DS and Hard IP phones. NOTHING has changed in my configs. At most I rebooted the Voicemail/Manager server.

DavidCT,

I'm fighting the ipphone paging as we type. Digital set work great but the ip sets (5610SW) are choppp and jittery. I fanyone can figure that out, I'll send them a cookie.

kbrocious,

Our dial page was not working at all to IP phones. Then it suddenly started. Now that it works, it's clear.

opes i forgot to mention the #
good that it works now :)

I'm glad it's working for you. I've been wrapped up in projects and have not checked in.

I entered exactly what you posted originally and it just worked.

This client has a 406v2, a mix of 5602, 5610, 5621's and no digitals.

progc,

I can't explain why it started to work, but it did. And I know for sure it was not working before, and the phones were at 2.3 firmware.

Unrelated, but is there a way to program a button that pulls up a directory of all names/extensions? I have a "Dial Page" button programmed but the client does not want to have to remember extensions #'s. They are using 5410 phones, so buttons are limited (ie: can't do an Appearance button for each extension).
