ghost or phantom calls 406 v2 running 3.1(65)

Anyone know why I might be getting phantom calls. The phone rings and when you pick it up there is no one there. Sometimes you will actually get the voice mail system when you pick it up? Any ideas would be appreciated.

We are running embedded voicemail no voicemail pro on this system.

Is VOicemail Ringback turned on for that phone? This will make VM call the station after a VM has been left to notify them. I know it sounds stupid (if they were there to get the message, they wouldn't have let it roll to mail in the first place)....

embedded voicemail?

Are you using embedded voicemail as a auto attendant?

There was an issue in earlier versions (3.0) where if the caller hung up on a call in certain phases of the call, the call remained in the system (not clearing) It would then dial out to the phone or group giving silence.

Use call status to see if there are RAS calls showing.
