ive got two questions which are both probably really easy to fix but I just dont have the experience yet to know how to fix them.
first, ive got a textbox on a form that is bound to an underlying field of type number. everytime i go to that box on my field a zero pops up before i type anything into it. its not that big of a deal but it annoys me that i have to type over it. i tried changing the default value of the field to various things but nothing seems to get rid of that zero. is there anyway to fix that?
second, ive got a combobox on this same form that has the abbreviations of every state in it. I would like the user to be able to press the first letter more than once to filter through the states until they get to the one theyre looking for. For instance, on most forms on the internet, it you press T twice it first goes to TN then goes to TX. can i do that on an access form? thanks for the help.

I can help with the first part. Make sure you have checked the default value both in the table design and the form design. Make sure it is empty, and this will eliminate you having to type over a "0" everytime you enter data.

I don't deal much with the second part of your request, so rather than give you wrong info I'm going to have to pass on that one and leave it up to someone else.
