Get caller's NAME on externally called phone number display, related to cli, but not quite.

So, I'm a noob in the telecom world. Lets get that out of the way. I've been managing an IPOffice 8 system for 3 years for minimal changes needed and for big stuff I call the phone guy.

Anyway, I have things setup to where I can see internal extension numbers on my cell phone display to know whose calling.

I would also like to pass their internal extension person name to the external number being called too.

Is this going to SOLELY be the telco's control or do I have any control over that at all within IPOffice?

If you have SIP and they have SIP it can be done I believe.

I believe we have a PRI. So no go?

If PRI is set to NI2 then you cannot control name on outbound calls.
The docs say that you can control name if PRI is set to DMS AND the telco switch is a Nortel.
