G450 MM710 FW upgrade

Hi All

Bit weird this one... Copy Image to the tftpboot on the 8300 I can see it there. Log onto g450 run the copy tftp module mmxxxxx.fdl 172.18.1.1 3.....

However it is always returning TFTP general failure.

Any Idea's

Sorry I do not quite understand. Are you telling me to use that specific IP address. I IP address in my example was made up...
 
testLED, yes, you will get a "general failure", just wait about 10-15 minutes before you call it a failure, I have been getting this behaviour ever since FW048, I get it on every upgrade, yet given enough time the MM710B will upgrade and reset itself, and be fine...

127.1.1.31 is always the internal address for
an 8300 in 01v1 of the MG - or use customer IP address for 8300 with /tftpboot

This is what I get guys. This time I used the internal address. I left it over night last night to see if it would upgrade on the customer address but still on FW 45. I will check it again in an hour to see if it has worked on the internal address but i have my doubts.. Just to advise I have also tried to carry this out while the board was busied out and when not to see if this would make a difference.

Required:
- G350, i120, G450, G430 or G700 Media Gateway hardware version 1 or greater

- Browser Access to the Customer Support Web site ( or another way to get the Target File.

- FTP and TFTP applications on your PC or Local Computer.

- Target Board: MM710B Media Module hardware vintage 11 or later

- Inads, dadmin, craft or a customer login that has been enabled
for system maintenance.

"To download firmware onto the media module, follow instructions
in the "Upgrading / Downloading Software / Firmware" section of the
Installation documentation."

PLEASE NOTE: To ensure a successful download, from the SAT or ASA issue the command
'busyout board V#' before issuing 'copy tftp' command. Upon completion, from the SAT or
ASA issue the command 'release board V#'.

try powering down the gateway, sometimes they get wedged, and won't upgrade cards no matter what you do...
