FrontPage to display Counters?

What do you have to do to make FrontPage display counters? I've tried adding from within FrontPage, but no go. I'm sure my ISP supports extensions also. Thanks ahead of time.

You must publish your web from FrontPage for the components to work properly. If you use CuteFTP, it may work for 99% of your web and FrontPage stuff, but not counters and not certain form objects (I believe). Anne Troy

I've published it, it still doesn't work.... Actually, I only published index.htm, is there something else I should publish too?

Did you explicitly ask your ISP to enable Front Page Server Extensions for your folder? This has to be done with some providers, as they offer this feature but it is not the default setting. Newposter

I always have problems with my host the first time I try to load. I think he puts some file on there by default, and it screws stuff up.

I just called the ISP to make sure they have Frontpage Extensions set, they said no, it would cost another $25 a month (the site is on a Unix box, but they can put it on a MS box for $25 a month...). Thats rediculous. Then they said they could set Net Trends (which includes counting info), for $25 extra a month. Wow, all I want to do is track usage. Are there any freebee counters that don't need Frontpage Extensions out there?

Anyone know of just some code for a counter? I basically want something cheap, easy, no fuse, and really don't want to advertise or point someone to another website. Thanks.
