Tring to run a FoxPro 2.5 DOS application on WIN2K appears the error msg "Too many variables ..."

mvcount is set to 3600 (is the higher value for DOS, isn't it?)

What can I do?

Thanks
Fab

Fab,
Make sure you are actually using the CONFIG.FP you think you are. (A wait window with sys(2019) at the beginning of the program can confirm this. You could also do a DISPLAY MEMORY to a file to see the current setting in use.) I actually include a system info screen off the main menu to display all the critical file information.

do you think increasing FILES to 100 in the config.nt might help ?

FILES = 100

???

Thanks a lot Rick. The application didn't read any CONFIG.FP. I solved the issue by adding the option "-C\FOXPRO25\CONFIG.FP" (learned by reading the FoxPro help) in the command line used to start the program.

Thanks
