I've got 2 IPO 500s connected via SCN. The host site has the only trunk lines, a PRI. My customer wants the ability to forward calls from their house (the remote site) back to their office (the host site) when they are away. I have a huntgroup on the remote site that rings all the phones in the house and i have one phone with a programmable button that toggles the huntgroup out of service. The huntgroup's fallback is a false huntgroup that only has one member. This member has a forward unconditional on to a huntgroup at the host site that is used to cover calls, and yes, i checked the box to forward huntgroup calls.

My problem is that the calls don't get forwarded. Looking at my SysMonitor logs i see that calls bounce off the main huntgroup and are redirected to the fallback huntgroup, but don't pass any further because the one user has a FwdU on. If i make the incoming call route go right to the forwarded user, the forwarding works fine, but not when i target the huntgroup first. I've checked my forwarding shortcodes and everything is going down the correct lines.

I've also tried setting up a fallback huntgroup directly in the incoming call route but i get transferred straight to the inital huntgroup's voicemail if i set it out of service/night service.

Anyone have any thoughts? I know my description is a little confusing so feel free to ask any questions. I'm also up against a bypassed deadline so the sooner i get it out, the better.

Thanks

Oke :)
That will indeed give big problems, exiting :) i will try it when i can

The forward shortcode is under the user's shortcodes not the system.

I can't get the forwarding even if i forward across the SCN to a user and then forward to a huntgroup. I get the same SysMonitor messages no matter what i do if the final user has forward unconditional on.

Fwd Failed(1): HG Call final target has FwdU
OV visable. VM NOT visable:Timer running

ADD HG Fallback Complete search - no targets found

This is being a huge pain for my very first install....

Set the group out of service
Do not put in a group in that field, leave it empty !!!
Go to incoming call route and add the number of the group as the alternative
See if that works

Buy the advanced licence then, and put it down as experience that you can't do it....if only I could remeber exactly what I did.

The best solution
It is easier to maintain the system too

Forward the user to a shortcode that matches a shortcode on the other side that calls the group or phone you need to call.

Hmmm. You guys may need to walk me through this. I'm gonna try:

(system forwarded from)
Code: 803
Fet: Dial
Num: .
LID: 249

(system forwarded to)
Code: 803
Fet: Dial
Num: 4616 (my coverage huntgroup)
LID: 0

Is this right? or am i way off base here?

This should be right.... you could try to change the . (dot) into 803
