Forwarding Huntgroup across SCN

I've got 2 IPO 500s connected via SCN. The host site has the only trunk lines, a PRI. My customer wants the ability to forward calls from their house (the remote site) back to their office (the host site) when they are away. I have a huntgroup on the remote site that rings all the phones in the house and i have one phone with a programmable button that toggles the huntgroup out of service. The huntgroup's fallback is a false huntgroup that only has one member. This member has a forward unconditional on to a huntgroup at the host site that is used to cover calls, and yes, i checked the box to forward huntgroup calls.

My problem is that the calls don't get forwarded. Looking at my SysMonitor logs i see that calls bounce off the main huntgroup and are redirected to the fallback huntgroup, but don't pass any further because the one user has a FwdU on. If i make the incoming call route go right to the forwarded user, the forwarding works fine, but not when i target the huntgroup first. I've checked my forwarding shortcodes and everything is going down the correct lines.

I've also tried setting up a fallback huntgroup directly in the incoming call route but i get transferred straight to the inital huntgroup's voicemail if i set it out of service/night service.

Anyone have any thoughts? I know my description is a little confusing so feel free to ask any questions. I'm also up against a bypassed deadline so the sooner i get it out, the better.

Thanks

The group must be longest waithing or rotary (not sure about the last one)
Otherwise it will not forward

What you could ttry to do is.

Make voip extension witch is forwarded to a huntgroup on the other side.
Then put that voip ext in a huntgroup(sequential) and the huntgroup into your overflow list.
So if you set the overflow timer the call will go to you hunt group with the voip user whoes forwarded to the other side. I'll hope it's clear?!

That one you need (sequential) and not rotary !

Do you have a shortcode programmed for the group back at the main system??? Can you dial the hunt group from the remote end.

SCN will pickup user number but not group numbers automatically.

Does the forwarding user have an extension (VOIP or otherwise) matching their number. Did you tick Forward Hunt Group Calls???

I'll try these things today. I do have a extension number programmed to my forwarded user and I do have a shortcode in place for the huntgroup on the far end. The only thing i have different is I have the my hunt group in collective ring instead of sequential.

It could be very possible that it will not work and that you need an advanced networking license

It could be that it is blocked becuase you do not need a license when you could do this
Avaya is not craxy :)

It should work once he changes it from colloctive, as I have done something very similiar without the advanced licence.
@BetterWithAV the reason it will not work with collective is if you had say 5 people in the group all forwarded to different places it does not know which forward to follow.

So, i just tried these steps and I progressed further than before but it's still not quite right. Here's what my SysMonitor is saying:

Fwd Failed(1): HG Call final target has FwdU
OV visable. VM NOT visable:Timer running
FindNextInServiceHgInHgIncludedList: Resolved No Alternative!
ADD HG Fallback Complete search - no targets found

It should be noted that I only get this when i'm forwarding to the huntgroup on the other side of the SCN. If i forward to a user on the other side, it rings through fine. This leads me to believe as jamie said that it's a shortcode problem. I've got:

Code: *FWD0
Num: 4616=4616 (this is my huntgroup on the far side)
Fet: Forward Number
LID: 249 (my T1 to the far side)

Any thoughts?

Oh, and by the way, I've got a system shortcode of

Code: 46xx
Num: .
Fet: Dial
LID: 249

To find the huntgroups on the other side

did you tick forward huntgroups too at the user ?

where is this shortcode?

Armiddle01, I think he means when you have filled in the "forward unconditional" on the user and you look in the short code of the user you'll see this.

I thought that but if he has this as a shortcode I am not surprised it does not work.

That shortcode comes automaticly when you set forward unconditional !
It does not matter, it is only to remember the number that is set for the forward
If you put in a different number then you will get another shortcode (user)
Then you can chosse between those numbers
If you delete the shortcodes then the numbers are gone in the list

Forward to a user on the far side (you said that works) and have that user forwarded to the huntgroup.

tlpeter I know, what I was getting at is if he had entered that into system shortcodes while trying to get it to work that could cause a problem.
