I have a question for the forum here, as I've looked through it and can't seem to find what i'm looking for, maybe i'm just not using the right keywords.

We have an attedant console (2250) that is used during the day, and then night mode sends the calls to another location. Here's the problem: sometimes the receptionist needs to use the restroom, get food from the cafeteria, make copies, etc.... during the day, and usually puts it on night mode. Most of the time this works just fine, except occasionally there is no one at the other location to receive the calls or they're very busy. My question is, can I somehow program a "forward" button on the attedant console (like what i might find on a 2008 or 2616)that the receptionist can use to send the calls to whoever may be available?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt W.

There isn't such a key that applies to the console...but:

One way you could accomplish this "on the fly" by setting the systems NITE number to a digital phone next to the Attendant, then CFW that digital phone to wherever desired.

Think of it as putting a variable in between the console and desired CFW target.

Here's another similar option. Use Nite 1 and Nite 2. Then you can progarm in your times that each nite service is in use. Nite 1 between 5PM and 8AM Nite 2 during business hours. Then when nite is pressed during the business hours it forwards calls to a location/ number that will always be answered. When 5PM comes around the nite is pressed and the calls go to the designated nite location. It's like having two foward numbers and you have four nites that can be used.

Thanks guys, I'll run both by my powers that be and let them decide how we want to do this....

This is almost the same result I am looking for. How would one add another nite designation?
