This depends on your network provider, by default the IPO sends the caller id of the call to the network but some providers will not allow you to use numbers that do not belong to you and therefore default the number to one of your valid phone numbers. This is a little anoying as if the caller calls in with a withheld number the IPO also sends a withheld to your diverted number so you don't even know if it is a diverted call or not.
You can have them forward to 8 plus thier forwarding number(if you usually use 9) and create a short code that uses the "ss" feature:
From my phone:
forward to 816105551212
In Manager:
SC - 8N;
Tel - Nss
Feature - Dial
The call to my phone will be forwarded to my cell and will show the caller ID of the calling party. As mentioned above though, some of the larger providers may only allow you to send your own numbers out via caller ID.
